Bag Rejector

Behpoo bag rejectors remove faulty bags from the conveyor without stopping the line. Five reject mechanisms are available, matched to bag weight up to 50 kg and to your line speed.

A bag rejector takes the reject signal from a check weigher or metal detector and physically removes the identified bag from the line. It is the actuator that turns inspection into action.

The mechanism is chosen by bag weight, line speed and available space. A 50 kg sack moving at speed carries momentum that a light-duty pusher cannot handle; a fast line leaves too little time for a slow diverter. Behpoo specifies the mechanism, the actuator force and the timing logic together.

Timing is where most reject systems fail in practice. The reject command arrives while the bag is still travelling, so the system must track bag position from the inspection point to the reject point — through an encoder or a tracking shift register. If tracking drifts, the wrong bag gets rejected and two bags are lost instead of one.

Rejected bags go to a lockable collection area so they cannot re-enter the line without a decision.

Benefits & Features

  • Bag weights up to 50 kg
  • Five reject mechanisms for different weight and speed combinations
  • Encoder-based bag tracking from inspection point to reject point
  • Reject confirmation sensor — the system verifies the bag actually left the line
  • Lockable reject collection area
  • Reject counting and reason logging
  • Interlocked with check weigher and metal detector

Product Range

Type What it is Typical use
Pneumatic Pusher Cylinder pushes the bag sideways off the belt Standard sacks at moderate line speed
Diverter Belt A belt section swings to send the bag to a second outfeed High throughput, where the bag must stay upright
Drop Flap A hinged section of the conveyor opens and the bag falls through Heavy bags where sideways force is impractical
Retracting Belt The belt end retracts and the bag drops into a bin Compact installations with limited side space
Air Blast Compressed air jet removes light packs Light packs and small bags only

Areas & Application

Cement & Building Materials

Removal of underweight and torn sacks before palletising, protecting the pallet pattern and the customer relationship.

Fertilizer & Agriculture

Automatic removal of out-of-tolerance sacks on high-throughput lines running unattended.

Polymers & Chemicals

Rejection following metal detection, in ATEX execution where required.

Food & Feed

Removal of packs failing weight or contamination checks, into a lockable bin for audit traceability.
