Metal Detector
Behpoo metal detectors find ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel contamination in packed and free-falling product. Aperture sizes from 100 to 600 mm , with automatic rejection and full detection logging.

A metal detector protects downstream equipment and end customers from metal contamination. Product passes through a coil aperture; any conductive or magnetic particle disturbs the field and triggers a reject signal.

Behpoo supplies three physical arrangements. Conveyor detectors sit in the packed-product line, usually beside the check weigher. Gravity-fall detectors are fitted in a vertical pipe ahead of filling, catching contamination before it enters the pack. Pipeline detectors are fitted into pneumatic conveying lines.
Detection sensitivity is set by aperture size and product effect — the signal the product itself produces. Smaller apertures detect smaller particles, so the aperture is sized to the product, not oversized for convenience. Multi-frequency units separate the product signal from the metal signal, which is what makes detection possible in wet, salty and conductive products.
Systems include a reject mechanism, a lockable reject bin and a detection log for audit purposes.

Areas & Application
Food & Feed
Protection of the consumer and compliance with HACCP and retailer audit requirements, with full detection logging.
Polymers & Plastics
Removal of metal from granule streams before extruders and injection machines, where a single fragment damages screws and dies.
Cement & Minerals
Protection of mills, crushers and conveying equipment from tramp metal entering with raw material.
Chemicals
Contamination control in powder streams, in ATEX execution where dust is combustible.
Recycling
Removal of metal from reclaimed material before processing.
