Continuous Mixer

Behpoo continuous mixers blend two or more metered streams as they pass through the mixing chamber, from 1 to 50 tonnes per hour. Six mixing geometries cover very low to very high shear.

A continuous mixer blends streams that enter without interruption at a controlled ratio, mixing them as they travel through the chamber and discharging continuously at the far end. There is no batch, no cycle and no waiting.

The defining parameter is residence time — how long material stays inside. It sets both the mixing quality achieved and how well short-term fluctuations in the incoming streams are smoothed out. A longer residence time evens out feeder variation; a shorter one responds faster to a deliberate recipe change.

Continuous mixing makes sense at high, stable tonnage with few recipe changes. Where recipes change often or small lots need individual traceability, [batch mixing](batch-mixer.md) is the better answer.

Behpoo builds twin-shaft paddle, ploughshare with chopper, continuous screw and ribbon, static, turbo/pin and fluidised-zone mixers, with liquid injection where the process needs it. Upstream, accuracy comes from gravimetric feeders — the mixer can only blend what it is given.

Benefits & Features

Product Range

Type What it is Typical use
Twin-Shaft Paddle Two counter-rotating shafts with angled paddles mixing and conveying together Most industrial applications — dry mortar, concrete, feed
Ploughshare + Chopper Plough blades lift material off the wall, choppers break lumps Lump breaking, uniform liquid dispersion, extreme ratios
Continuous Screw / Ribbon Helix or ribbon in a trough or tube conveying and gently blending — the same architecture as a [screw conveyor](screw-conveyor.md) with mixing flights Fragile materials and simple two-component blending, where transport and blending happen in one run
Static / Motionless Fixed elements inside a pipe repeatedly divide and recombine the flow No moving parts, no power, gravity or pneumatic driven
Turbo / Pin Mixer High-speed rotor with pins forming a thin high-turbulence layer Very short residence time, fast intensive mixing
Fluidised-Zone Vertical Rotor or air creates a fluidised bed where particles move freely Rapid mixing of light materials
