Behpoo volumetric feeders dose dry bulk materials at discharge rates from 3 to 5,000 kg per hour with 1.5 – 2.5% accuracy. Single screw, twin screw and vibratory versions are built to suit how your material flows.

Volumetric Feeder

A volumetric feeder meters material by volume. A defined volume is collected in the feed trough as the screw turns, driven forward and discharged into the process downstream. Rate is set by screw speed alone.

Because there is no weighing, the control is open-loop: the drive holds the set speed regardless of what is actually in the trough. If the bulk density changes, if the material bridges above the trough, or if flow behaviour shifts, the output changes and the system does not know. Where that matters, the gravimetric feeder closes the loop with load cells.

Where bulk density is stable, the volumetric feeder is the economical answer — fewer components, no weighing system, simpler installation.

Behpoo builds three types: single screw for general powders and granules, twin screw for cohesive and poor-flowing materials, and vibratory tray for fragile products that must not be sheared. All are supplied in platform or suspended arrangements with hopper volumes from 50 to 1,400 litres.
