Bag Placer / Applicator

Behpoo bag placers take empty sacks from a magazine and place them on the filling spout automatically. This is the single upgrade that turns a semi-automatic bagging line into a fully automatic one.

A bag placer holds a stack of empty sacks, separates one, opens its mouth and places it onto the filling spout, then confirms it is correctly seated before filling starts.

In a semi-automatic line, everything is automatic except this one step — and that one step is what keeps an operator standing at the machine for the whole shift. Automating it removes the labour, and it removes the throughput decay that comes with it: an operator cannot place sacks at the same rate in hour eight as in hour one.

The hard part is separation. Sacks in a stack stick to each other, particularly woven PP with a smooth coating, and picking two sacks instead of one stops the line. Behpoo uses vacuum cup separation with mechanical fingers and a double-sheet detector, tuned to your sack type.

Supplied as an upgrade to existing open-mouth machines or as part of a new bagging line.

Benefits & Features

  • Magazine capacity sized for uninterrupted shift running

Areas & Application

Cement & Building Materials

Automation of high-tonnage sack lines where manual placing sets both the labour cost and the real throughput ceiling.

Fertilizer & Agriculture

Continuous running on single-product lines through long shifts.

Animal Feed

Placing of paper and woven sacks on batching and bagging lines.

Polymers & Chemicals

Automatic placing where operator exposure to dust should be minimised.
